doubling up...
June 3, 2008 | 1:19PM
Hello everyone. May was a busy month for def.i.ni.ción but it was all good. Got to meet a lot of cool people at cool events and even sell some shirts. Through all the busyness of May, I got to thinking that def.i.ni.ción wasn't doing enough...that we should do more. I then began to think, how can def.i.ni.ción do more? Now please understand that we are a for-profit company. Perhaps what we practice is capitalism with a conscience? Whatever you call it, ever since the beginning of def.i.ni.ción, we've given at least 10% of your purchase back to a variety of organizations working all over the world. I can't think of any for-profit company that does this but after last month, I felt in my heart that we could do better so we're gonna double that percentage to 20%. For the month of June, def.i.ni.ción will donate 20% of your purchase back to our partners. I haven't exactly crunched all of the numbers to see how financially viable this is to run a company but I figure it's worth a try to see where it goes. So if you've been waiting to order a shirt, get one this month and know that we'll be doubling your donation! Cool, huh? Spread the word and many, many thanks for your support. faith.hope.LOVE.brian
SPAANK and North Korea...
May 29, 2008 | 3:11PM
Hello everyone. I just want to make you all aware of our friends at SPAANK, Students Promoting Awareness About North Korea. They just produced some shirts that are pretty cool. Check out the pics and order one, two, three of them. All proceeds will go to North Korean related initiatives and projects. One shirt is $15. Two shirts will only run you $25 and three shirts, $30! So get a few and spread the word about what's going on in North Korea. You can send a check, payable to SPAANK, to: 10933 Rochester Ave. #305 Los angeles, CA 90024 When sending your check, please be sure to let them know which shirt, size, quantity and shipping address. While you're at it, check out some organizations/resources focusing on North Koreans: Seoul Train, a documentary about what's going on in NK LiNK Helping Hands Korea (def.i.ni.ción currently supports HHK through the sale of the hwamok shirt) Spread the word and be moved to action. Much love. brian
Doing what we can in Myanmar...
May 20, 2008 | 10:49AM
Please take a look at what the Red Cross/Crescent and World Vision are doing in typhoon ravaged Myanmar. Due to the tight governance of the military there, foreign aid has been limited. Because of their reputation, organizations like the Red Cross/Crescent and World Vision have been able to access disaster areas and provide immediate aid for those affected by the typhoon. Please take a moment and see what they are doing there and how you can help. Red Cross/Crescent. World Vision. In addition to checking out the above organizations, a friend of mine has designed and printed up a shirt to raise money for the Myanmar relief efforts. All profits will provide aid to those suffering in Myanmar. Click on the pics above to take a look. They are $15 and payment can be made through Paypal. Send your payments to justykim@hotmail.com. You may also use that email to contact Justin should you have any questions regarding the Myanmar relief shirt. Join the Facebook group by searching for "Myanmar Relief". Thank you. brian

It is Identification. Personality. Individual expression. Solidarity. Commitment and responsibility. It is theological and spiritual but engaged with the physical. Cultural but not bound by culture. Anomalous. Sublime and fallible. It makes a statement about the self and about the world.
